How can I delay my workflow?

Once you have your workflow trigger, you can delay your further workflow steps by adding one or few DELAY steps.

There a few default indicators to set a delay before your next step: minutes, hours, days, weeks and months.

If you add a few DELAY steps, all those steps will be summed.

MailerLite also offers specified indicators such as specific time, date or even specific day.

Specific time of the day

This indicator allows to wait until exact time. If you set a delay to wait until 10 AM, the next step will not be processed until 10 AM on the following day.

Please note that subscribers added before 10 AM (i.e. 9 AM) will be processed at 10 AM same day. All subscribers added after 10 AM will be processed at 10 AM the following day.

Specific day of the week

Specific day’s of the week indicator allows to wait until current day of the week. You can choose one of few week’s days.

Please note that subscribers added the same day will not be processed. If delay is set to wait until current day of the week is Monday (time is set at 10 AM), subscribers added at 9 AM will be processed only on the next Monday.

Specific day of the month

This indicator allows to wait until exact day of the month or until the last day of the month.

Please note that subscribers added the same day will not be processed. If delay is set to wait until 15th day of the month (time is set at 10 AM), subscribers added on 15th day (even before 10 AM) will be processed only on the following month’s 15th.

Specific day of the year

Specific day’s of the year indicator allows to wait until exact day of the year.

Please note that subscribers added on the same date and before set time will be processed same day. All subscribers added after the date and the time, will not be processed or triggered at all.
